For the last 10 years I have been using a Kenmore Powermate vacuum cleaner. While I have often seen people using an upright vacuum I have always preferred a canister model. If for nothing else the portability makes it so much easier to use. With my vacuum I have no problem reaching jobs up near the ceiling or way down deep under a bed.

I have been known to use mine to dust off the blades of my ceiling fan and also my ceiling high cat climber. The vacuum breaks down easily and stores in very little space. If I really had to I could put the canister portion up on a shelf. The vacuum bags are large and extremely easy to replace.

I just buy the bags in packs of 10 at my Kenmore retailer and have them on hand whenever I need them. The power head on the main vacuum wand gives this vacuum all of the power of an upright model with a fraction of the bulk. There are plenty of attachments that store easily in a caddy that resides in the top of the main canister. They snap in and stay secure until you need them.

Since I have had this cleaner for over 10 years I would expect to have had to have it repaired by now. I have never had to have it repaired. The only thing that I have had to do for maintenance for this vacuum is to remove tangled hair from the rollers of the main power head. It is well made and dependable for all of your vacuum needs My favorite things about this vacuum are ease of use, its dependability, and its economy.

If I had the opportunity to change anything it would be the way the attachments go on the end of the hose. They just slip on and I would like it if they could be made more secure. I have had the problem that they sometimes fall off if I use them too vigorously. I would also like the process of removing debris from the power head to be easier. I have long hair that has tangled up in it many times and I would like it if it was easier to clean. I rate this vacuum…
