Kenmore Magic Blue The vacuum as a whole works wonderfully. It is great for the small apartment that we live in and goes a great job clean up after our several pets. the floor head seems to work best all around as the carpet head works best at low speeds but will not pick up larger objects.
The vacuum was bought at a refurbish and overstock center. It came with 4 different heads, carpet, floor, brush and edge tool and cost around $60. two pros of this vacuum is that due to its size it will fit in any closet in our small apartment.
Also it has more attachments then many larger vacuums we looked at Cons are the sucking power of the carpet head and the fact that due it the small size of the bag is not useful if you need to clean large areas
I bought the Kenmore Magic Blue Vacuum because of it’s small size and low cost and reliable brand. I have been very pleased with it’s performance over the years, it may be small (only 10 amps) but it has remarkable suction for it’s size. The features on this small lightweight canister style vacuum are ample.
It has two large wheels for easy maneuverability, an adjustable wand, and all of the usual attachments found with a high quality vacuum which are kept in a compartment on top of the canister section. One of my favorite features is the on/off switch is located on the handle of the adjustable wand on the end of the hose attaching to the vacuum, there is no need to bend over to turn it on or off.
The power switch also controls the amount of suction the vacuum provides for any situation such as a light weight area rug is a definite plus. The main wand adjusts in length for convenient reaching. There is also a sturdy handle to pick up the light weight canister to move it from room to room or upstairs and downstairs. It has an automatic cord rewinder button and an indicator to show if the vacuum cleaner bag is full.
The downside to this vacuum cleaner is the Velcro type strip on the bottom of the floor tool, it has a tendency to peel off the tool and needs to be reattached. The vacuum cleaner bags are also very small and fill up rather quickly. But other than these drawbacks this vacuum is an overall great buy and is very effective for picking up pet hair from the floor and furniture.
