Kenmore HandiMate Jr

We bought the Kenmore –Handi Mate Jr.- for a steal from Sears. Our old vacuum was just not cutting it. It was loud, heavy, and wasn’t doing its job too well. The Kenmore –Handi Mate Jr.- was on sale and seemed to have a lot of perks to it. It has what is called Intel Cleaning.

When you start it up and press this button it has a strand of lights at the base, which go from green to orange to red. When the light goes up to red that means that you have hit a very dirty part of your floor. As the vacuum is sucking away and doing its job, you see the light go down to orange then to green as you keep vacuuming this one area. You may thing it detects due to light sensitivity, or the way the carpet is matted. But when vacuuming my home, I notice that all the areas with heave foot traffic are where the light turns red.

This feature gives you a good feeling when you are done vacuuming, because you know you’ve done a good job. Another feature that is easy about this vacuum is the nozzle. It is already plugged into the bag. So you don’t have to worry about loosing it or trying to fuss with plugging it in. The extension on the nozzle is great. I am a 6 foot tall female and I can reach the corners of the ceiling without the extra extended attachment.

With the extended attachment attached I could probably reach a 10+ height ceiling. It is very light weight. With a handle on the back, deep enough so your nails don’t pop off, or dingers don’t get squished.

Overall this vacuum is a great investment. It does its job and gives you the satisfaction in knowing you have a job well done.
