The iRobot Roomba 560 is by far the best $400 I have ever spent in my life. I am very busy as my husband and I both work full time and this vacuum with its on-board scheduling makes getting your house vacuumed easier than pie. Its suction picks up everything from my hair to the mulch that gets tracked into our apartment on a regular basis.

The vacuum is light, but because you don't have to push it around, it wouldn't be an issue even if it wasn't. The Roomba comes with two "lighthouse/virtual wall" accessories that allow you to keep it out of a hallway or to help it find its way back to the docking station to charge. Its brush system even gets into corners despite its round shape as there are brushes sticking out from its side.

It can easily go from carpet in one room to linoleum in another without missing a beat. It occasionally will get confused with our apartment's setup and we will find it in odd places (stuck under the couch, behind the door, or under the dining room table) but it takes 10 seconds to pick it up and put it back on its docking station. The price tag ($379 off of the iRobot website) seems expensive at first, but when you consider how much time you will save by not having to vacuum your floors and the convenience of having clean floors, it is worth the price.

I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone who has a busy schedule - clean floors without having to do them yourself are a blessing!
