Pros
- Good suction, great cleaning power on carpets
- Easy to use, not difficult to push or change bags on

Cons
- Does not do very well on hard surfaces
- Does not suck well when used as the detachable hose.

When we bought this vacuum I knew I wanted a bagged vacuum. This same model comes with a bagless version, but we went through two vacuums in 5 years that were bagless so I decided a bagged one would be worth a try. The look of this vacuum is about like any other, not sleek, but looks like a vacuum.

It came with several attachments that fit on the back of it, but mine fall off all the time. It has a little brush to suck up things when attached to the hose, but it does not do a good job. The telescoping handle really works well, I use it for cleaning all the time.

The cord rewind is great, it works very well and I save time and my back by not having to wind it up. I doubt I'd buy another vacuum without the rewind after having it. This machine has a dirt finder feature. A light comes on to tell you when the floor is still dirty. I find it to be very accurate and helpful. There is a headlight on the front, but I can't say how it helps. It may be more of a neat idea than helpful.

It has a lifetime belt, I do not know what that means, but my last vacuum had to have the belt changed every 6 months and I have not had to do it with this one. I have to say the way you put in and take out the bags could not be easier. It is pretty much idiot proof and pretty clean. It claims to have a breathe easy hygienic bag and I can't tell you if that is true, but I do sneeze a lot less when changing bags than I did with the old bagless one. The suction on this vacuum is great.

We have both a cat and a dog and it really sucks up the fur. Also I have not had to clean the brush out which with past vacuums has been full of fur and hair. The hose that detaches does not suck as well, but overall it does a very good job. We do have hardwoods in our home and it does not do a great job on them. I think this is a common problem. The price was great, it came with a 2 year supply of bags and I have not had to buy anything else to go with it like belts. It is heavy. I would not want to carry it up and down stairs, but I would take the weight for the suction it offers.

Pros
- Allergen filtration works really well.
- It has a nice long cord with a push button retraction device, plus its a Hoover and just keeps on chugging along.

Cons
- price...was very expensive
- the parts that hold on the attachments break so easily is annoying, especially since I paid so much for it to begin with.

I purchased this vacuum new in the fall of 2002 and am still using it nearly seven years later! I have been very happy with this vacuum overall. It was pricey at over $350.00 at the time I bought it, so I expected to be happy. It has all the floor and stair attachments that you would ever want or need.

It also has an allergen filtration system (requires a special allergen filtering bag to work 100% as intended) and is hard plastic in construction with no fabric, so its great for my family, as we are all allergic to dust and sensitive to pet dander. I will say that after a few years the pegs that hold the attachments in place started to break off and we have had to use rubber bands and packing tape since then, which is ugly but works.

This is annoying but its cheaper than buying replacement parts that are just going to break again. Plus, the breakage occurred after the warranty expired. That is really my only complaint with this vacuum. Its durable overall, but the plastic bits do tend to want to break and that is a problem.
