Pros
- ability to adjust the height of the vacuum
- the excellent job in handling lots of pet hair
Cons
- the vacuum is bag less
- the heavy weight when compared to other vacuums.
I purchased my UH40020 TurboPower Hoover a while back as a replacement for my Dirt Devil vacuum that was no longer able to function. Up to this point I have been pretty pleased with the Hoover vacuum with a few exceptions.
Like my previous Dirt Devil vacuum, the Hoover UH40020 is a bag less vacuum which is a disadvantage because the dirt, pet hair, and other particles are released into the air. Every time I need to empty the vacuum capsule I have to go outside in order to keep the dirt out of the house.
I prefer vacuums with bags over the vacuums without bags. Another disadvantage that my Hoover vacuum has is the fact that it is extremely heavy which makes it difficult to clean the stairs with. I have very little strength in my arms; therefore, I had to purchase a smaller vacuum in order to clean my stairs. However, the Hoover vacuum does have some advantages.
It is definitely a great vacuum for pet hair. I have an American Eskimo Spitz and he sheds a lot everyday. The Hoover does a great job of picking up all of my dog’s hair efficiently. Another thing that I liked about the Hoover vacuum is the price. The Hoover vacuum cost me about 170 dollars after taxes.
I believe it was well priced for the excellent job it does. Unlike most vacuums, the Hoover vacuum allows the user to adjust the vacuum to an ideal height for the specific user. Overall, I have been very pleased to this point with my Hoover vacuum.
