Pros
- Attachments are easy to use and durable.
- Headlights make it easy to vacuum in closets and corners.
Cons
- Lose suction when the filter gets clogged with hair.
- Filters are hard to clean.
The Eureka Maxima is a bagless vacuum that is relatively light weight and durable. It can be adjusted appropriately for longer carpet, wood floors, laminate or tile floors. There are several attachments such as a scrub brush and various extensions to help clean/vacuum hard-to-reach places. It comes with a small headlight that provides illumination in dark corners and closet spaces. I’ve had the vacuum for about four years now and it has been pretty good. It does its job fairly well and was relatively inexpensive. I use it mostly for my medium length carpet bedrooms and laminate floors. In my previous condo, I’ve also used it for tile floors. My wife and I use the extensions quite a bit. We also use it clean our air filters and curtains. It helps clean under the couch and crevices that we miss. The bagless container is easy to dispose but there are some issues with the filter.
Personally, I would never buy a vacuum with a bag (if there’s any left on the market with this feature). If you have pets, the hair tend to clog the filter where the opening and make it lose suction. We’ve banged the vacuum around quite a bit but it’s still working fine. Nothing has broken yet aside from us having to replace the rubber ring that spins the rollers (not sure what it’s called). It is also self-propelling so is easier for almost anyone to handle. Overall, this vacuum is inexpensive but serves its purpose well.
Pros
- How light it is, and the price
Cons
- It doesnt work very well, and you are constantly going back and forth to the garbage to throw stuff out.
I have a parrot and a messy cat…and also a slob of a husband, so I need a good reliable vacuum cleaner that can pick up after anything. I also need it to be light so i am not hurting myself lifting it up stairs. I had heard fantastic reviews for the Eureka Maxima vacuum, and was excited when I bought it finally.
I unwrapped the box, felt how light it was..how easy it was to throw away what was picked up, and then I tried it. It barely had any power to it. it didn’t pick up even half of what was on my floor, and it would fill up before the room was done. I was so disappointed. I would not recommend this to anyone.
