- There are filter lights on the unit that will indicate when it’s time to change them – Large dirt collection compartment.

- No places on the body of the unit to grip it when trying to pick it up, only the handle and I’m not really strong enough to lift it very high
- If you don’t get the dirt cup back in place exactly right, it will not have full suction power.

I purchased the Eureka Ultra Whirlwind because I was tired of changing vacuum cleaner bags. I really like the ability to empty the container when I’m finished so I don’t have the dirt left sitting in the vacuum.

The container is easy to clean out and the filters are easy to change, although they are a bit expensive. It also does not generate much dust while vacuuming like my old vacuum with a bag did.

This is a relatively lightweight model so you don’t get tired pushing it around. It has the ability to flatten down to a few inches high so you can get under furniture with ease. The onboard tools make cleaning furniture easy.

It has a pretty long hose that, combined with the two extension wands, makes it easy to reach the tops of items, ceiling corners and behind furniture. The bush and small furniture tools are securely fastened so they don’t fall off while vacuuming, but they snap on and off easily.

The cord is long enough that I am able to reach half of my house, and then I only have to unplug and move the cord once. It works very well on my tile and hardwood floors as well as my carpets, however the suction is too strong for my area rugs – it will pull them up and then they get caught in the roller brush. There is a headlight on the front that helps in dark corners. The handle is contoured so it is easy to hold.
