Pros
- doesn’t lose suction
- picks up cat hair and dust with no problems. You can see it working in the canister.
Cons
- while the suction power isn’t reduced, you can get the tiny holes in the canister filled with cat hair and dust, and this is a pain to remove
- the canister itself doesn’t take much to fill up with our cats running around.
The canister vacuum that is fantastic! I love my vacuum cleaner! It’s a Dyson DC21. It’s a canister model and it works great. I have 2 cats and it’s amazing how much hair this vacuum picks up! We purchased this vacuum because our old one had died. After a lot of research we went out and bought this one.
I think this pretty much sums up how much we love this vacuum…We bring it home, open the box, and decide to try it out. We were to leave shortly for a friend’s birthday party. Well, an hour and a half later we were still vacuuming! We were both fascinated and disgusted by all the cat hair and dust our new vacuum was picking up.
We never did make it to that party…We’ve had the vacuum now for about 2 years, and it still works great and we’ve had people comment that they love our vacuum. In fact, I have allergies as do some of my family. In fact, because of our cats, there are some family that couldn’t come over.
However, now if I vacuum before they come over, combined with my leather couches, they can visit without too many issues. This is huge! I love having people over and this just helps make that possible.
