The Dyson has been hailed as the only radically new departure in vacuum cleaners for a good long while, so when my daughter confirmed her recent purchase of a Dyson was living up to the hype (and we needed a new cleaner), we thought we’d pay the extra cost for one.. and in general have not been disappointed.

The cleaner looks good and works well. I really like the way that, although it could be complicated in use (there are lots of parts that slot in here, turn there, come apart somewhere else etc) this is all simplified by a consistent, straightforward use of colored plastic components that highlight the various handles and levers.

I’m making it sound complicated to use, and it’s not. You just turn it on and it cleans. The transparent dust holder, with its much vaunted “vortex” is both a joy and a worry to behold – great that it’s sucking up so much crud off your floor, but scary that there is so much around! I’m really allergic to house dust, and in the past, vacuuming almost always brought on a major attack of the sneezes.

If residual dust being blown out of the back didn’t do it, the messy job of changing (or worse, emptying) dust bags reduced me to tears – literally. But never with the Dyson. One button press releases the whole vortex unit. Carry it with the built-in handle to the bin, squeeze the “trigger” release, and all the dust is deposited neatly into the garbage with no drama.

Then it just clicks back into place, ready to use again. It seems very powerful suck-wise, and it’s powered rollers can be a bit of a menace with tassles on the end of a carpet or a trailing bedspread. Even so, it doesn’t cope particularly well with cat hair; though it fares no worse than traditional-style cleaners.

The power cord is generously long, but the built-in hooks for winding it neatly out of the way are partly built in to the removeable hose section (great for doing the stairs, the ceiling, under furniture and in tricky corners). This means that even with the cleaner stood right next to that dirty cubby hole AND the power point, you have to uncoil the whole cable if you need to use the hose.

Overall, it’s great; I really like the straightforward, funky design, and for allergy-sufferers it’s an absolute godsend. On the downside, go too near the bedspread tassles and you get into a real mess (so be careful), and be ready to spend a few extra moments rewinding the cable when you really shouldn’t need to. When this one gives up the ghost (after it’s 5-year guarantee), our next cleaner will be a Dyson too.

Pros
- Easily maneuverable
- Simple to use

Cons
- A little pricy
- Some may not like the vivid colors they come in

I do not know where to begin with this vacuum review. This is by far the best vacuum I have ever purchased and used. I have had this vacuum for a couple years now and it it still in superb condition. I love the funky colors and the fact that it does not even need a vacuum bag!

I have used this vacuum for every kind of vacuuming imaginable. It picks up everything that I run it over. It works well on hard wood floors, carpet and even outside. This vacuum is designed to be easy and painless and this is exactly what it is. The vacuum has a slick design and it would catch the eye of any viewer. This vacuum is everything you dreamed of in a vacuum.

There has never been a single problem with it and it works well every time it is used. The Dyson is a great, innovative product. Between never needing a vacuum bag, and the easily disposable middle section that holds all the contents that are vacuumed up, this is probably the most simple vacuum I have ever used.

Even for a small, old, or weak family member, this vacuum can be easily lifted and maneuvered. The vacuum comes with all the accessories needed to reach the smallest and most bizarre places in your house.

Even though the price of this vacuum can shock some people at first, it is well worth every penny and I would recommend this vacuum to everyone in the world.

Pros
- great suction
- easy to see it working with the transparent holding tank

Cons
- A little heavy
- not real easy to use on stairs

My Dyson is great and it seems to be living up to all the hype. I vacuumed a relatively new rug with my Hoover which was fine just before I used my Dyson. The Dyson sucked half a chamber full of new rug fibers. It really pulls in the dirt.

Pros
- Lack of bags to buy.
- It cleans hardwood floors as well as carpets.

Cons
- High price.
- The effectiveness of the machine, the frequency at which the dirt canister must be emptied.

I live in a challenging household. I live with two cats and two dogs on a small hobby farmstead in rural Virginia. I walked into a friend’s house and asked if she had gotten new carpets. She said “no, I just got a new vacuum”. In the corner of her living room was a Dyson DC07. I ran right out and bought one. Just for kicks, I gave the living room carpet a once over with my old Eureka upright. I thought it was clean, but when gave the carpet a second pass with the new Dyson, the dirt chamber filled with sandy dusty grit, animal hair, and fleas! All these things were previously missed by my old vacuum.

As a bonus, there were no bags to deal with and only a filter to rinse out at 6 month intervals. Like my friend, it appeared as if I got new carpets. The machine was a dream to use. It was relatively quiet and seems like it was designed to answer every question and solve any problem anyone with a vacuum in a hard to clean house would have. The cord reached clear from one end of my 2000 square foot house to the other. I can suck spider webs off the corners of the ceiling without using a step ladder.

The Dyson DC07 has truly changed my way of maintaining the cleanliness of my house, and I never thought I would say this of a vacuum, but I love to clean my house now. I don’t know if this is related, but I am a chronic asthma patient, and my asthma attacks have all but vanished at the same time I started using the Dyson DC07. Coincidence? I don’t know.

Pros
- Doesn’t lose suction.
- Relatively easy to operate

Cons
- A little heavy.
- Tube attachment too short .

This vacuum is so amazing. Before retiring our old vacuum (a Hoover), I gave it one last whirl around the condo. Afterwards, I pulled my Dyson out of its box and vacuumed again. Holy hairball! I was not only shocked, I was disgusted but the amount of dirt, hair, and general fuzziness that was extracted from the carpet.

The attachments are a little clumsy. I don’t especially care for the floor attachment (the tube attachment is too short and you end up uncomfortably hunched over). The unit itself is heavier than it seems, but there is a strategically-placed handle at a balance point that allows the owner to comfortably carry it up or downstairs without it tipping one way or another.

The bristles on the rotating beater bar are very short. They become hopelessly clogged with hair and carpet fibers and must be cleaned often. The collection bin is convenient and sturdy; I’ve even taken it outside and rinsed it out with my hose to get it totally clean. The removable, washable filters make maintenance very easy (and inexpensive – can’t beat free!). Most vacuums simply beat the carpet fibers dropping dirt and dust down to the base of the carpet.

The dirt acts like sandpaper which destroys the carpet fibers. The “doesn’t lose suction” feature is what attracted us to the Dyson so we could protect our investment in our carpet. My husband and I have four cats and weekly vacuuming is not optional, it’s mandatory. I’ve been very satisfied with my Dyson and am waiting for it to break so I can by the Dyson with a ball.

Pros
- Never loses suction
- picks up pet hair easily

Cons
- Price
- Size/Weight

The Dyson DC07 is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. This vacuum is well worth the price ($399.99). This vacuum has never left my carpets cleaner, and sucks up everything in its path.

When I first used it, the cache for debris filled up very quickly and left me shocked at how much it picked up. I find that I do need to empty the debris cache fills up after vacuuming the entire house. Also, I have a long-haired dog, and this vacuum has no problem handling the pet hair (no more getting it caught and losing suction). The only drawbacks are the price, which is three to four times more than any other vacuum cleaner. However, I was previously going through a vacuum every year or two, and this one has already lasted for three years, and shows no sign of dying on my!

Also, this thing is heavy, which can make it difficult in getting it upstairs. The vacuum is self- propelled, so it does move easily when you are using it. It also comes with several attachments that also have the suction, which is great for corners or under the couch.

This vacuum is well worth the price, and if you are in need of a fantastic vacuum, you should pay the price and go for it. It is well worth it. Also, these vacuums go on sale regularly, so be on the look-out for a great deal.

Pros
- Many different attachments are available to do just about any clean up.
- Never loses suction.

Cons
- Pretty heavy and bulky when having to carry it up or down stairs.
- The many attachments available are purchased separately and are rather costly.

I’ve owned many vacuums and none have compared to the overall durability of this one. True to it’s advertising it never loses suction or becomes clogged. This vacuum cleans both carpet and hardwood floors with the same quality results. The many attachments available for the Dyson or extremely handy. The flex attachment makes cleaning hard to reach places a breeze. The additional stair cleaning attachment is also a great tool for cleaning steps when dragging a large vacuum up and down stairs is not feasible.

Though the attachment I find the most convenient is the low reaching floor tool, this attachment literally reaches under any hard to reach areas. It also has a lifetime hepa filter which really does filter out many of the allergens in the house. It also never needs to be replaced which is a great cost saving feature. The vacuum is also bagless which saves money on buying vacuum bags.

The easy to remove clear canister empties with just the touch of a button. The clear canister allows you to see everything you’ve picked up. I’ve owned this vacuum now for three years and it works as well as the first day I purchased it. The average life span of all the previous vacuums I have owned was approximately six months. I’ve owned low end to high end vacuums and have never had them last this long without needing constant repairs or having to unclog them myself. This has been a time saving experience.

Pros
- Dyson pulls up material from your floors you wish you never knew was there.
-the suction power

Cons
- For suction so if you have the handle fully extended you don’t get as much suction as if your tilting the handle only a little.
- the brush adapter is prone to getting hair and dust caught in the bristles and I haven’t found a good way to clean it out yet.

The Dyson DC07 is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. For starters it is a bagless vacuum so I never have to worry about how full the bag is, where to find a replacement, or struggle to change the bag. Additionally the Dyson DC07 shows you all of the disgusting bit that are being sucked up from your floors. It makes me want to vacuum every day based on how much material ends up in the canister.

The ability to either vacuum the floor or easily modify the vacuum to utilize the wand and get corners, high places, or delicate places is a fantastic feature. The tools that come with the vacuum also round out the previously mentioned features. One thing that you’ll notice about this vacuum is that it has a very long power cord. This is great for a large room or for several rooms because you won’t have to worry about unplugging and finding a power socket every few feet. The HEPA filter needs to be changed once every 6 months and even then you only need to rinse it and let it dry completely. So although the vacuum was quite expensive it has been well worth the investment.

In my opinion the Dyson DC07 is well worth the money. (costs about $350.00). Prior to owning the Dyson DC07 I owned several different vacuum cleaners made by several different manufacturers and I have found that the Dyson DC07 out-cleans them all. The Dyson has the best suction of any of the vacuums that I have owned and the upright style makes it easy to move around.

The Dyson DC07 is a bagless vacuum so there is no dirt to handle whatsoever. The filter on the Dyson DC07 is a washable filter that only needs to be washed about every 6 months. This to me is one of the best features of the Dyson. No more expensive filters to replace.

This vacuum moves easily from carpeted floors to uncarpeted floors or from plush carpet to area rug. With a simple push of the lever, located on the top of the vacuum you move right from one to the next. I am also very happy with the length of the cord on this vacuum.

I can plug it in on the first floor and vacuum all the way up the stairs and onto the upstairs landing without having to unplug and re-plug it in. The parts for this vacuum are easy to detach and reattach making cleaning very easy. The one thing that I do not like about this vacuum is that clearance.

I cannot vacuum easily under furniture due to the high front on this model. I also wish that there were a few more accessories included with this model. For the price, one would think, that you would get more than just a crevice tool, a brush, and a carpet tool. To me, the Dyson is still the best machine I have ever owned.

We have had this vacuum for over two years and have been happy with it. This was my first experience with a bag-less vacuum and I will never go back to bag vacuums. We received it as a wedding gift and I am not sure I could have justified spending $400 on it but it is great to have none the less.

It has good suction and does not lose suction like other vacuums. I really like being able to see when the container is full in its clear holding container. It is not the lightest vacuum but for the suction power you get it is not bad.

It is very easy to use; the attachments can be used in many different ways and work very well. One complaint is that it really does not pick up any of the pet hair that is stuck in our carpet. Another is that they are a little expensive. Other than those two things I would recommend dysons to anyone I know.

Pros
- Powerful
- Easy to use

Cons
- Too much weight
- Noisy

Because of new baby born, I needed to invest something valuable to new baby so that I purchased over $400 dyson vacuum cleaner at Costco. The reason I purchased from Costco is, if any happen which is not satisfied, I can return it right away. I do have an old fashion vacuum cleaner which often I changed the filter.

After new dyson vacuum cleaner, I really want to test it right away. So, I vacuum the carpet with old fashion vacuum first and then started to vacuum with my new dyson vacuum. Guess what! The dirty which can not vacuumed with old fashion, started to appeared on the new Dyson vacuum cleaner.

I needed to dump several times with Dyson Vacuum cleaner. It was amazing powerful vacuum I ever know. and I never seen that our white and clean carpet has that much dirt came out. I’ve been satisfied with dyson vacuum cleaner. I even purchased the gift for new born baby of my best best friend.

My best friend told me I was so crazy one who gave the vacuum cleaner for new born baby but after few days, they called me and appreciated for it. Since after Dyson vacuum cleaner, I can not go back to old style vacuum cleaner anymore.
