Pros
- Sturdy
- Easy to maintain.

Cons
- Attachments fall off
- Canister messy to clean.

I have a Dyson DC15 that I’ve had for a few years. It is the yellow one with the “ball” which makes it easier to zoom around corners. I like the vacuum because it is sturdy and has kept working after many uses. I have 2 cats and a dog that like to shed. This vacuum works well at picking up the hair from the carpet. I have noticed that after I vacuum and then use my steam cleaner, the vacuum didn’t pick up everything I thought it should had, but my carpets could just be really dirty. Regardless, it does a good job. I can use it on carpet and with a push of a button, it will work on hard floors.

It has a long cord so I can use it through out joining rooms without having to plug it in again. The hose it easy to release and has a pretty good extension. The suction part of the hose is very good. I often suck up things by accident like pens and curtains! The on-board attachments include 2 brushes and a slim nozzle. Unfortunately, they don’t always stay put and fall off very easily. The vacuum is ok in weight. I can carry up and down the stairs without a problem, but it is a bit awkward. It doesn’t use bags which in itself has pros and cons.

The canister will easily detach from the unit and it has a quick release which opens the bottom to release the dirt. Most of the time the animal hair gets stuck around the middle cylinder so I have to stick my hand in there and clean it out – yuck! Dust also flies everywhere if you don’t enclose the canister into the bag you are dumping it into. I also like that when something gets tangled onto the brushes, I can use a coin to undo the 2 screws and get access to them. It is fairly simple to do without the need for a screwdriver and instruction manual. It is a great vacuum that has stood up to some heavy use and still works very well.
