Pros

About a month ago, I purchased this vacuum cleaner. Having just moved from a house to a condo, I thought I wouldn’t spend much on a new vacuum. This one was under $200, and has a hepa filter that I thought would be good because my husband and I both have allergies. I was amazed at the suction power of the vacuum.
Apparently the carpet in the apartment is relatively new, and the cleaner picked up huge volumes of fiber as well as the usual dirt. I like that it’s easy to empty, as I always had cleaner with bags before. It will save money not to have to buy bags, and also is more environmentally friendly.
One thing I don’t like, is that if the fibers being collected get caught at the top of the collecting bin, it clogs the filter and stops the swirling inside the bin. I have to stop to empty it more often than I’d like, as I have not finished with the job yet. The cord is easy to wind, and nice and long. I like that. The attachments work very well and are easy to apply. I like the smaller hand held vacuum for the furniture.

This Dirt Devil is about the 5th or 6th vac that I have owned in my adult life and it is by far the best. We bought it to replace another vac of the same name brand that was still working but just not getting the job done. When our daughter was born and started playing on the floors we had to have something that was better and would keep baby safe and the floors clean.
We try to vacuum about every other day since the baby spends alot of time on the floors and this vac has kept baby safe and has maintained our carpets better than any other vac we had in the past. We use this vacuum on the carpets, tiles, furniture and steps and we are constantly amazed at what comes out of this thing. It even picks up things we cant see! Our oldest son has allergies and the incidences with his allergies have even been reduced.
It doesnt have a bag but it does a great job of keeping everything contained until it is disposed of and the container that collects everything is see through so we are able to always see that it is working. We have tile floor in our house and we just adjust the setting on the front and the tile is cleaned just as good as the carpets. We very rarely use the broom in our house.
The hose easily detaches on one end and is long enough for us to be able to keep the dust out of the furniture as well. I think this might not be the best looking vac on the market (pea green) but it sure keeps our floors looking good!
