I got this vacuum since I wanted something cheap and bag less. The last thing I wanted to deal with is constant full bags, when tossing out the contents into the garbage is a lot more effective and saves me money.

The Dirt Devil Power Stick is great on hardwood floors. It picks up a good amount of dirt with the first pass, and will usually get the rest after the second pass. It sucks up any of the excess cat litter that’s escaped the litter box with ease. When using it on carpets, you can tell this was not meant for carpets. It still works, but you will find yourself going over the same spot multiple times. It does not have a brush underneath where the suction is, but more a broom to try to push things to the hole. It has little trouble with cat hair, eventually getting all the hair after a few passes.

The bag less feature is what the best part about this vacuum is. You see what you are picking up, and if it gets full, you can make a pit stop, and the vacuum is back to full suction again. If you do notice a little lacking in it trying to do its job, you can either clean out the filter or buy a new one. I’ve been on the same filter for almost a year now, and it has not failed me yet.
