We purchased this vacuum recently and absolutely love it! We originally bought the vacuum to be a shop vacuum. We had started a book business and needed something that had really good suction to help with picking up bits of paper and small junk. We simply didn’t want to ruin our good vacuum with this heavy duty vacuuming.
Once we brought the vacuum home, after we closed the business, we found ou rself using it increasingly more in the house. The tremendous suction that this vacuum has picks up chunks easily and works as well as our home vacuum. It works amazingly well at picking up stuff near the wall and in corners and along the baseboards.
Because of the super light weight, we use this vacuum on the steps and when we need to lug a vacuum around with us. You do have to be careful with the handle, because it does occasionally pop off the base and tip over. You do need to make sure the unit is fastened very securely. As far as looks, the unit is not very attractive.
It’s bright red and black, so it’s very easily visible and can’t be left out in plain sight. If looks don’t bother you though, it is definitely worth investing in it. It’s easy to comment on the pros and cons of the Craftsman 9 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum. Overall I would give this product a great rating but there are some definite up and down sides to this product.
The upsides of the vacuum is the amazing suction that this vacuum has and it’s light weight. It makes it easy to take wherever you go, and it certainly picks up everything. The downsides to the Craftsman Shop Vac are not huge issues, but are definitely a problem. The first one is that there are absolutely no accessories with this vacuum. You have to order the accessories and pay extra to get them. It’s a very basic vacuum.
