Pros
-its cheap
-very light weight
Cons
-Dont have the best suction
- cord is a little short
I think that for the money it is the best vacuum cleaner you can buy. For less than 50 bucks you can get a good dependable vacuum cleaner that will last year for over a year. The best part is their so cheap when it breaks you can buy another and not even worry about the price.
Pros
- it is easy to do cleaning
- It is very fast and comfortable compare to do cleaning with ordinary tools.
Cons
- Because of vacuum cleaner people forget to do cleaning by themselves it result in doing less natural exercise
- Maintaining vacuum cleaner is time consuming
I bought this cleaner about 2years back at that time it was working very good. But after passing 2 years it is not working as much good as it was working before. Now a days i heard very loud noise while i am doing cleaning, even suctioning is not good because lots of time i found dirt left after cleaning.
I think it is little bit heavy to move. Now a days i am feeling that i am moving dirt from one place to another place in my house by using this vacuum cleaner.
I bought this vacuum about 5 months ago. The vacuum ran very well when we first purchased it. I enjoyed how fast it picked up debris, and how easy it is to change the vacuum. In order to change it, you simply pull out the container, empty it, and put the container back in. I really think that this special feature saves a lot of money for those who cannot afford to buy vacuum bags all of the time, it is an expense that is no longer necessary.
The Bissell is a very popular brand and is usually very efficient. I bought one of the cheaper models of the bissell, and I wish that I bought a more expensive one because you do get what you pay for. The downfalls for this vacuum would be that it gradually deteriorates with it’s accuracy of collecting unwanted debris. The vacuum is nearly worthless now, and we will be purchasing another one soon. I hope the next vacuum we purchase will last longer.
I will never buy a bissell again because even though the vacuum was only sixty dollars, that is still a decent chunk of change, and the vacuum should last atleast a year. The vacuum does have a nice appearance, and it is not very large, which makes storing the vacuum in the closet quite simple because it easily fits into the corner of my closet. The hose attachment is great, it still works, and comes with several attachments that quickly pick up dirt from under my oven and washer/dryer. I really love that the vacuum was only sixty dollars, and that it is very easy to control. I don’t like the fact that it barely picks dirt up anymore, and that it doesn’t fill the bucket up anymore, the vacuum just gets covered with dust now.
Pros
- Lightweight
- Easy Cleanup
Cons
- Bulbs do not last.
- Machine was a little pricey
I have owned this vacuum for about 5 years now and it has been a fairly good product. It will pick up as needed but sometimes you might have to go over the area a couple times and especially if there is any pet hair. Soft items such as dirt are picked up quickly. I keep it cleaned by taking it all apart and the cleanup is very easy and nice. The bagless feature is nice and with just a quick turn of a lever the cup removes and can be emptied.
The belt has only broken once in the time I have owned it. Bulbs for the front are another story. They burn out almost immediately. I called the company and they sent me three of them at no charge but they truly only lasted for about one time of vacuuming. The bulbs are nice to have especially if you are running it down a hallway with no windows. The service dept has always been very helpful with any questions I have ever called about. Having surgery on my stomach a couple times also and not being able to lift anything, I have found this vacuum to be lightweight enough for me to still use it with no problem.
It has a wide cleaning path and the cord is long so that I don’t have to keep plugging and unplugging to use it. There are also several tools with it that I use on my upholstery. The attachment hose is long enough so that I can use it on my ceilings if I need to.
Pros
- Vacuum is lightweight.
- Dirt Container is easy to empty and replace.
Cons
- Vacuum Suction does not last.
- It is difficult to vacuum under and around furniture such as the bed, couch, etc.
I purchased the Bissell Powerforce Bagless Vacuum for use in my home. I have four little boys and vacuum behind them frequently. What I like about this vacuum that it is reasonably priced and it is available at Wal-Mart. It is very easy to assemble. I just have to screw on the handle and it is ready to go. Also, the fact that it is bagless is much more convenient than having to change and/or purchase new bags. Emptying the dirt container is very simple.
The filters are washable and easy to replace as well. I also appreciate the design of the vacuum itself. There are five height adjustments that can be used on carpet of varying heights. The Bissell Powerforce is lightweight and I am able to carry it up and downstairs with ease. The cord is just about the right size to vacuum an entire room without having to change outlets. I can also use the attachments to vacuum areas such as corners and the cushions on our sofa and loveseat. On the other hand, there are some things I do not like about the Bissell Powerforce Bagless.
For one, the suction is only powerful during its first couple of uses. With each use, the suction wears down and the vacuum’s suction appears to lose power. It seems that after about one month’s use, the vacuum does not work at all. Once it stops working, it appears to leave more dirt than it picks up. Also, I would appreciate if the vacuum was able to vacuum under smaller places. Perhaps if the handle adjusted lower to the ground, I would be able to vacuum further under furniture such as the bed. Overall, the vacuum is very reasonably priced but does not work well for very long. I am now more willing to pay for a vacuum that is slightly higher priced and will work longer rather than having to replace the cheaper one frequently.
Pros
- When it is working correctly, it picks up like a dream.
- It is very lightweight and easy to handle.
Cons
- Dirt gets stuck in the tube and wont pick up until it is cleaned out.
- The cleaner needs to have more attachments or made to move easier around furniture.
Bissell Powerforce bagless 12 amp vacuum I bought the Bissell Powerforce Vacuum about a year ago, after my old cleaner refused to pick up the smallest piece of lint. For the first 2 months I had no problems, but I did notice that the container that holds the dirt was not filling up very much.
At first, I thought this was normal, as it had been years since I had purchased a vacuum leaner, and I had never had a bagless cleaner. Then one day it stopped picking up all together. My son and I took the cleaner apart and saw that the hose had filled up with dirt.
A piece of paper had gotten into the tube and all the dirt swept up after that had accumulated in the hose behind the piece of paper. After emptying the hose, the vacuum resumed it normal pickup. In the months ahead, I had to repeat this process in order to keep the hose free of debris. The Powerforce is a great vacuum when it is not blocked in the hose.
Its 12 amp motor picks up items that other cleaners wont pick up for example gum, tacks and pennies without hurting the motor or bogging down. The five height adjustments make cleaning any room a breeze, from wood flooring to plush carpet.
Pros
- Great price and Nice size -very lightweight and easy to move and store.
- For the size of the vacuum, it’s pretty powerful. No need to vacuum the same spot over and over again.
Cons
- Power cord is very short.
- A little awkward to push around turns, which keeps you kind of limited to the back and forth pushing motions.
Bissell Powerforce Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner Don’t let the small size, and even smaller price tag, of the Bissell Powerforce Bagless vacuum fool you! Granted, I have no children or pets. I live in a one bedroom, loft style apartment with a boyfriend, whom I guess could technically count as a child, and I find this machine does wonders based on the amount of vacuuming I do.
For about a month and a half after moving into our new apartment, finances were tight, and I therefore had to put off purchasing a new vacuum cleaner, as money needed to be spent on more important living expenses. When the time finally came, I chose Bissell based on previous experience with their carpet cleaners. I was skeptical about the size at first, but such a quality brand vacuum for under $50 is a steal, so I had to get it.
Assembly was very simple, requiring one to simply attach the handle, and screw it in with two screws provided. The accessories fit neatly into compartments on the side and back of the machine for easy storage. After my initial test, vacuuming up 1.5 months worth of filth in my new place, the dirt container was filled to the top — dirt, hair, lint, you name it — this thing sucked it right up with ease. I was very pleasantly surprised.
Where I would normally have to vacuum the same spots multiple times with my old vacuum cleaner, I cut my cleaning time in half with this one. I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed with the length of the power cord: I often found myself traveling out of the outlet’s reach and accidentally jerking the cord right out of the wall. I remedied this by jumping from outlet to outlet throughout the apartment, but it was a bit tedious. I also ran into a few awkward moments when trying to maneuver around corners, often having to lift the vacuum up entirely and place it back down to get it exactly where I wanted, but I’m not sure if this was because of the stiff design, or my own fault.
Pros
- Easy to use, and very lightwieght.
- Fan belt lasts rather long (haven’t changed it yet).
Cons
- Takes too long to empty and clean all containers.
- Hairs clog up filters too fast. May 11
It says on the sticker (that’s still there) that it has “Easy Empty Dirt Container”, which is a bit of a lie, for it has three peaces of the container that need to get cleaned and emptied, almost daily. First there is the main container, which traps maybe sixty percent of the dirt. It is rather easy to empty. Then there is a compartment under this container, that needs to get unscrewed (not with screws, but just turns off) and emptied, but also the filter attached needs to get turned and taken off to peel off all hair and dirt, which also means you may need to remove the cloth filter from the plastic, to assure its empty. That can be put back together.
Then, before placing the re-assembled container back, you need to reach up and unscrew (once again, not with screws, but turn by hand) to take off a large pre-filter, which always collects much hair. When doing this, if you’re not already covered in dust, you will be by doing this. After all three areas are empty from dirt, garbage, and hair, then maybe once a month at least, you need to check the way bottom filter, which is rather small, and has a small door on the outside of the vacuum.
If any of these four filters/containers/areas are full of dirt or hair, the vacuum will not suck air strong enough to pick up everything. Having two small dogs, these first three areas need to be emptied daily, to assure the vacuum to work at best capacity. Otherwise, the unit works great! It has five height adjustments, which i never personally change, leaving it set in the middle, though i am fortunate enough to have all the same thickness of carpets.
I haven’t put it on the lowest height setting, however, on the middle setting, it will not pick up anything off of a hard floor (which is not a large space in my house, so the broom works fine instead of changing the setting each time). It has the essential attachments for the detachable hose, which all work wonderfully. i am able to vacuum the couch, chaise, and even the front stoop with. The cord is a perfect length, not too long to take too long winding back up, but long enough that i only need to unplug and replug it in once during the job of vacuuming this house.
It is very easy to unclog, for those times when i know i ran over something a little too big, by accident. The bottom hose (from the floor brush to the main detachable hose) has one screw (regular or phillips) to take out to be able to unclog that bendable hose. The top of the hose also easily comes off with a quick turn. Every component on this unit is washable, which i think would be a good idea for me to do soon one day, to make it (probably) look brand new again. i give it, overall, a four out of five. This is basically because, as long as everything is empty, its performance is great! Foot pedal power button, another foot pedal clicks to let it loose to the floor inplace of it locking upright.
Pros
- Long Cord.
- Great cleaning ability.
Cons
- Auto shut off fuse is chronically failing having to clean the filter every third or fourth vacuuming

Pros
- The base is wide, which means you vacuum more of your floor with fewer strokes.
- The cord holder is very convenient, and the hook for it twists to a down position so that you can take your looped cord and hold it easily while vacuuming.
Cons
- I do wish the cord was longer.
- It would be nice if the waste canister was a bit bigger; it seems to fill up quickly.
My Bissell Powerforce Bagless is a great vacuum! I have owned it for about 5 years now, and I have had no problems with it. The sucking ability has been outstanding, even after years of use. The power button is nice and big so that you don’t forget where it is, and it’s made so that you step on it to turn it on. It has a variety of attachments that are useful in cleaning those hard to reach spots. Overall it’s a sleek looking vacuum. It’s been a while since we bought it, but I do remember that it was pretty inexpensive.
The Bissell Powerforce turbo is certainly not the best vacuum available, however it may very well be the best, affordable vacuum. When my last vacuum quit I decided I should purchase one of the bagless vacuums with a variety of features however I couldn’t find any that I could really afford. I ended up running to Wal-Mart and found this one. Compared to the higher priced vacuums I had been looking at, this Bissell Powerforce was the most affordable and came with basically the same features.
It is a 12 amp, bagless, fairly lightweight, has an awesome filtration system which works great for my indoor allergies and it has all the on-board tools that every mom needs! A few of my favorite features of this vacuum are the Turbo Brush, height adjustment and ease of changing the filters.
Each of those make my life so much easier. I can run the vacuum on our various height carpets as well as our linoleum and tile areas with just the turn of a knob. The turbo brush is so handy for picking up the heavier things my lovely children drop in the vehicle or in hard to reach spots. The filter access is so easy I was shocked. My other vacuum required TOOLS to change the filters. This one you just pop the cover off, pull out the old filter and put in the new one then snap the cover back on and your done! Compared to other vacuums I think the affordability and functionality of this vacuum would outweigh any cons to owning it.
The only things I don’t really like are that it is a bit bulky, not so much so that its a major issue but it certainly takes a bit of space to store it, it seems kind of lounder than my previously owned vacuums and although it says its easy to carry, its actually kind of difficult to carry with one hand. Overall I’d highly recommend my vacuum to anyone. I love it and have not had any problems with over a year of heavy duty use! Oh! Did I mention this vacuum has the longest cord I’ve ever saw? I never have to switch plugs!
Currently I am using a Bissell Powerforce Bagless vacuum cleaner that was purchased for under $100. This is an extremely dependable vacuum for a single family home and affordable because you will never have to worry about bags because it is bag less!!! You just simply empty the container once the dirt reaches past the full line.
It has five height adjustments for suction and it is very lightweight. You can use the vacuum cleaner on hard surfaces and it cleans efficiently. It has several on board tools that help with cleaning stairs or small spaces like the nooks and crannies of your car.
It also picks up animal hair with ease. One of the best things about this vacuum is that it picks up EVERYTHING extremely well. The suction power of this vacuum is wonderful. Another pro to this vacuum is how lightweight it is.
You can bring it up stairs without worrying that you will strain yourself or hurt your back. One bad fact about this vacuum is if you start it with a full container, it sprays dust everywhere. This can cause a pretty big mess around the area and on you as the dust tends spray toward the operator!
Another undesirable fact about this vacuum is that it gets clogged easily and you must it clean out before each use. As long as you do this you will have no problems, but it can be an issue when trying to clean in a hurry.
Pros
- It was very inexpensive and light weight.
- Works like a more expensive vacuum cleaner
Cons
- Has to be cleaned frequently
- Is difficult to take apart to clean.
I purchased this vacuum cleaner about two years ago at the local Walmart store. It has worked well ever since. It has good suction and picks up well. It is light, fairly attractive and inexpensive to maintain as there are no bags to be replaced and all of the filters are washable.
It is not a fancy vacuum cleaner and has five height adjustments and several hose attachments for cleaning blinds or corners. Although it sounds very good so far, it does have some drawbacks. The vacuum cleaner has to be cleaned frequently. It has to be cleaned too often in my opinion.
The entire front of it is broken down into different sections with filters on it. It all comes apart, and there are about 10 pieces when it is broken down. The filters have to be cleaned and they are slow to dry.
The plastic pieces have to be cleaned, and then you have to figure out how to put it all back together. But, when you do, it works like an expensive vacuum cleaner, even though I think I only paid $75 or so for it. I have kept using it even though I don’t like the cleaning because I am a stay-at-home mom and it works great–it just takes a little effort on my part.
Another good thing about this model is that the front comes off easy to empty what has been picked up. I have to take it apart and clean it once every three weeks on average. I vacuum only once per week, so once out of every three times, I have to take it apart the day before I want to clean and clean it, so that the filters dry before I want to use it the next day. So far, the filters have held up well.
This is a vacuum cleaner that I have purchased almost 2 years ago for only 59.99 at Walmart and it is still going strong. It is easy to maintain and clean and saves me the money that I would have to spend on vacuum bags. This vacuum cleaner is lightweight and easy enough for my 8 and 9 year old daughters to handle.
The “Powerforce “gets our carpets pretty clean and dust-fee.It even picks up heavier items such as pennies ,nails and crayons for example. The “Powerforce “came with 3 vacuum attachments. One long one that reaches into the farthest corner ,one brush attachment for upholstery and last but not least flat long one that can be used to get up under the stove or icebox for instance.
I empty the dustbin maybe once or twice a week.Once a month I take all the parts like the filter and the dustbin apart and wash and clean them in a solution of dish-washing liquid and water. It is very easy to take apart and to put back together.I am rally happy with the product and if it ever stops working I will buy another one.
I’ve had this vacuum for approximately 3 years now. It works as well now as the day I bought it. It is bagless and easy to empty. It has a hose attachment to allow you to vacuum places like the couch and hard to reach places.
The vacuum is light weight and has a long cord. This allows me to vacuum multiple areas without having to change my plug’s outlet. There are adjustments on the vacuum that let you signify if you’re vacuuming thick carpet, bare floor, or anything in between.
This allows for the adjustment in suction. This vacuum also has washable air filters. One of the true pros of this vacuum is that you can see the dirt you’re sucking as it enters the clear lint compartment so you know it’s working. Also, the vacuum’s suction is above any other vacuum I’ve owned. Of my complaints, I can smell the motor getting warm which is not a pleasant smell when I’m trying to clean. Also, emptying the lint compartment can be messy.
This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. I bought this vacuum 5 years ago and it still runs as powerful as the day I bought it. The biggest feature I love about this machine is that you don’t have to deal with changing bags.
Instead, the sucked up material is deposited in a clear plastic container that easily snaps on and off in the front of the vacuum and the brush action ensures a good sweep of your rug. I picked mine up at the local Wal Mart store and the only color it seemed to come in was black. That was fine with me since I like black. Its slim body enables me to store it in a small closet and the maintenance is pretty easy.
The only thing that ever broke on me was the belt which is easily replaceable and accessible. The only drawback of this machine is that you have to really keep the filters clean for superior performance. New filters are very cheap and it is a good idea to keep a few on hand if you vacuum more than four to six times a week.
The body is also made of plastic so you can’t do any heavy banging against hard objects. At 12 amps, you’ll find that there is not to many jobs it can’t handle. It also has variable settings for different carpet length and comes also with an assortment of accessories that will help you to adapt to different situations. You will also find with its unique filter system the air that is blown out is clean and dander free.
Pros
- Lightweight
- Inexpensive
Cons
- Poorly constructed
- Releases dirt after shutting of the vacuum
I do not recommend this vacuum , if you are looking for a durable and structurally sound vacuum cleaner. I could say that if the price of the vacuum was the biggest factor in my purchase decision. I have bought this vacuum cleaner twice now.
I wasn’t a fan of the idea of buying it again but the wife had other ideas about it. (PRICE) The first power force I bought lasted about two months be for the vacuum fell apart literally. Just before it fell apart it would run at same speed without any suction.
I wasn’t happy about it needless to say. Now that I have bought a second Bissell power force it as well as the first is beginning to run with less suction and has a problem with losing the bristle hairs on the rolling bar. It can snag any loose fibber in the carpet thou even if it isn’t sticking out of the carpet.
I would recommend you look at other vacuums to purchase even if they are a little bit more expensive. This vacuum just isn’t worth it unless you are planing only to use it for a short period of time. I can not say anything bad about other Bissell products simply because I personal haven’t tried them.
If someone out there has tried out others and believe in them and would like to comment with another post please do so. Like I said I have no Qualms about Bissell the company.
