Pros
- Inexpensive, but durable.
- Light weight with good hand tools.
Cons
- Too many hard to find filters.
- No way to disable the spinning brush.
Bissell Cleanview Bagless I have had my Bissell for many years now. It’s been a good vacuum for the most part. I would recommend it for someone on a budget with general cleaning needs. It was one of the most inexpensive vacuums at the time which was good for me. I do not believe it would be that great for someone who has really thick carpet and high traffic. I am not sure that the suction would be adequate. It has had and still has decent suction for general cleaning, although not as strong as the Kirby I used to own.
The filtration system on the Bissell is average. They do have a lot of filters and I am not sure how well they actually work, but my issue is that there are so many and some of them are hard to find now. They require replacement more often then I would like. I have found that I can actually wash them in the sink with soap and water instead of buying new ones. It’s very lightweight and easy to drag around the house.
The cord is pretty long which is helpful. The tools are all very useful, but I do wish the hose was a little longer. I really wish there was a sensor to detect when I was using the vacuum tools that would shut down the spinning carpet brush in the bottom. If I am trying to use the hand tools for something, I have to be careful not to let the spinning brush get caught on anything like a rug with tassels or something of that nature.
Pros
- Not too expensive.
- Bagless so dont have to buy vacuum bags.
Cons
- Must keep it super clean for great suction.
- Cord isn’t stored inside vacuum, have to wind cord on the side
I have owned this vacuum cleaner for about 1 year now and have been pretty satisfied when I compare to other brands I’ve owned in the past 5 years. I admit if I had the money I’d probably own a Dyson, but for the 80.00 I spent so far I’ve got my money’s worth. There’s a headlight on it that’s great for vacuuming in dark areas or when going underneath beds.
It comes with a pretty long cord but you have to wind it up yourself around the outside of the vacuum. Its not too heavy and is easily manuverable around my apartment. As long as you keep it clean the suction is pretty good, and I mean you have to CLEAN it and not just the dust cup. Dirt easily gets trapped inside near the hose and I have had to take a long screwdriver and reach inside to get all the dirt out so that the vacuum can suction better.
It only came with a few accessories, like an extra brush and extension to the wand. I purchased it from Best Buy after doing alot of research for a decent cleaner because I have been really burned in the past with vacuums that are substandard and last only a few months. I don’t plan on throwing this vacuum out anytime soon so to me its well worth the 80.00 that I spent on it.
