Pros
- There is a lot to be said for the pros of this vacuum. It has amazing suction power! Like I mentioned before, it is getting stuff my old vacuum left behind. It maneuvers easily, isn’t too heavy and seems to be built sturdy.
- Since using this vacuum, I have notices a decrease in my need for my rescue inhaler (I have asthma) I like the fact that it has a filter in it designed to trap the dust that would otherwise be floating around clogging my lungs.

Cons
- It can get a bit noisy. I don’t know if I maybe have a slightly defective model but it is a bit louder than my last one. That one used a bag rather than a canister. I don’t know if that is why.
- I wish the canister was bigger. Every time I use it I have to constantly empty the canister it gets full quickly.(like every 10 minutes) I know it’s probably because it is getting the stuff my old one missed but it seemed that my last one lasted longer without changing the bag.

I bought this model because I have an 8 month old son and 2 cats. I got it specifically because I needed a way to control my cat’s shedding, and I have asthma and I liked the idea of a HEPPA filter. I needed to replace my previous vacuum because the bag kept exploding, and while my son found this amusing, I did not.

I was in the market for one that was bagless and the associate at the store I bought it from introduced me to this particular model. When I got home and used it for the first time I really liked it. I had to clean the canister out a lot because there was so much junk on the floor.

After seeing just how much junk wan in my carpet I got sick thinking my son was crawling around on that. I had NO IDEA! I have had it for about 3 months, and it is definitely serving its purpose. No product is completely without its drawbacks though but I think the benefits WAY out weigh the negatives.

Overall I am very impressed with this product. I also liked the price. Very worth it for the quality of this product. I definitely would recommend this to anyone with pets!

Pros
- Doesn’t leave any pet hair behind!
- A lot of attachments eliminate the need for a small vacuum.

Cons
- Troubleshooting guide can be confusing if you don’t have much experience with vacuums.
- Dirt bin is pretty small compared to some other cleaners.

Having four cats makes for a LOT of cat hair everywhere, which is made even worse when your vacuum doesn’t pick up half of it. I finally decided to get a new vacuum to combat all of this cat hair, and ended up going for the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser. It was a little more expensive than I would’ve liked to spend, but with so many cats I definitely wanted something that specialized in pet hair.

Still though, it was cheaper than most of its competitors. I’ve had it for about two years now and don’t have very many complaints. Luckily, it lives up to its name and sucked up even the hair that I once thought was a permanent addition to my carpet. It also comes with a variety of nifty attachments to make vacuuming couches, chairs, stairs, etc very easy – a very important feature considering these are some of a cat’s favorite places.

Its weight does make it a little dangerous to take with you down stairs, so I’d recommend finding someone to hold it for you while you clean the stairs with the attachment hose. The only problem I’ve had with it in all this time was when the drive belt broke, which isn’t really an exclusive problem with the Pet Hair Eraser. The step-by-step directions in the owner’s manual were very helpful for replacing the belt (found at Target), although the troubleshooting guide left me a little confused if that was actually the problem or not.
